Pharmacy & Self-Care

Pharmacy

Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals who can offer clinical advice, over the counter medicines and their use, to effectively and safely manage a range of minor health concerns. They can also help you to decide whether you'll need to see a doctor. You don't need an appointment and you won't even be asked to make a purchase. Every pharmacy also has a private consultation area for you to talk about your symptoms in private if you prefer.

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 11am.

Telephone: 020 7247 7070

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.

GP consultation times

Our doctors will be able to see you at the following times:

Day Morning Afternoon
Monday 8:30am to 12pm 3pm to 5pm
Tuesday 8:30am to 12pm 3pm to 5pm
Wednesday 8:30am to 12pm 3pm to 5pm

Friday 8:30am to 12pm 3pm to 5pm

Change or Cancel an Appointment

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please make every effort to cancel it well in advance so that it may be offered to someone else. Non-attendance and cancellations at short notice without a valid reason deprives other patients of essential medical services.

To avoid being sent a DNA letter please ensure that you cancel your appointment a minimum of an hour before the appointment time. Anything cancelled after this time could count as a DNA.

Ways to cancel

  1. Telephone us on 020 7247 7070.
  2. Cancel using our online services
  3. Cancel through the NHS App

Late for your appointment?

A common reason for GPs running late is that some patients do not attend on time. Please note, you may not be seen if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment. Also, if you are late for your appointment you may have to wait until the end of surgery to be seen. This is to ensure we run our appointments on time.

Please make sure you are on time in the future.

See our Missed Appointments Policy

Appointments are often wasted as people do not attend.

Over 300 appointments per month are being wasted. These appointments could have been used by other patients.

First DNA: The first time a patient fails to attend a booked appointment we will send them a DNA (did not attend) letter reminding them that in future they must cancel appointments if they are unable to attend.

Second DNA: A letter will be sent to you after you have missed further appointments. This letter will explain the surgery policy and that if you DNA 3 or more appointments you may be deducted from the surgery list.

Final DNA: After three failure to attend letters we will consider advising you to register with another surgery
